The inspiration behind the name, Tina Jo’s Promise, came from the heartbreaking loss of a beautiful white horse that came to our sanctuary, Tina Jo named her Promise. Promise bravely endured a life of suffering before her brief respite at our sanctuary. With your help, we hope to make a difference in the lives of these wonderful animals.

Sponsorship Program
Our sponsorship program is for people who want to become more involved in a horse’s life, and help us continue our efforts in rescuing horses and providing them rehabilitation and sanctuary at Tina Jo’s Promise. The majority of our rescue horses are in need of special care, from extra feed and supplements to extra veterinary care and special furrier services.

Miracles Happen at Tina Jo’s Promise Horse Rescue. Looking around at the 18 horses, one mule, and six goats, you would hardly know that most of these animals were struggling for life at one time or another. Whether Izzy, the blind horse, Fiona, who was saved from a trip to the slaughterhouse, or Cassidy, who is crippled and needs surgery to repair years of neglect, these animals are thriving at Tina Jo’s Promise. Dawn and Tina Jo Stephens never set out to provide horse rescue, yet as fate would have it, a severely suffering horse they named Promise changed everything.
